The Cripple Creek District Museum has been successfully preserving the history of the District for more than 55 years.

Donations and visitors have filled our 3 buildings with priceless artifacts, documents and photographs.

During a recent visit you might have noticed our 3-year facelift in progress. Improvements include paint, new carpet, new sidewalks, interior and exterior repairs and artifact restoration.

Now we would like to offer you a unique opportunity to join others who are helping preserve our glorious past and create a bright future for the Museum.

The impact of legalized gaming since 1991 has resulted in a dramatic decrease in heritage visitors to the Cripple Creek District - The World's Greatest Gold Camp, an area that played an important role in the financial making of America. Our museum has suffered.

By joining the Friends of the Museum, you can show your support for our mission to preserve the history of the Cripple Creek District and Teller County.
